Tyler’s twenty-somethings
John Tyler married 22-year-old Letitia (his first first lady) when he was 23. They were married for nearly three decades, then she died while he was president.
Shortly after, he met his second first lady aboard the USS Princeton. Heck, flirting with Julia below deck maybe saved his life. They married within a few months.
You wouldn’t believe the impressive animation in my head showing the aging Tyler! Unfortunately, I overestimated my skill level (hey, I’m a work in progress!) and underestimated the time commitment involved. I realized it was a sinking ship and bailed. I don’t feel bad ditching Tyler. He was a traitor anyhow.
