Want to collaborate?

From time to time, I welcome guests to collaborate for my email newsletter, The POTUS Notice. It’s a fun, casual, easy-peasy, no pressure situation.

I have a few opportunities available to partner in 2024! Interested?

Here’s what you get:

  • Teaser in The POTUS Notice the month before

  • Doodled profile pic and related Venn diagram

  • Promotional graphics

  • An issue of The POTUS Notice dedicated to your theme, including:

    • Doodles/motion graphics to accompany your text

    • Opportunity to share your social media links, events, and/or website, plug your book, etc. (in a relaxed, not overly sales-y kinda way)

    • Your bio

  • Content repurposed in blog form (minus the newsletter-specific stuff, like POTUS Extras and POP quiz) that can easily be shared with folks who aren’t POTUS Notice subscribers

Here’s the deal:

  • Each issue is put together within a month’s time. As a general rule, I don’t start an issue until the previous issue goes out.

  • We can figure out a topic/theme together, or you can suggest one.

  • If possible, I try to solidify the theme the month before so I can include a teaser and a related quiz question in the previous issue.

And get this — it’s totally free!

Here’s my rigorous selection criteria:

  • Do I think the collaboration will be fun and interesting?

  • Do I think the partnership will be effortless and easy all around?

  • Will subscribers enjoy it?

  • Do I want to?

  • Do I have space and time available?

That’s it!

Interested in teaming up?

Let me know what you have in mind! Offer open to non-history experts, too. Unexpected ideas welcome. I once collaborated with an acquaintance because he had a beard. And I’m about to team up with my one-time naamgenoot. (Stay tuned for that! It’s going to be fun.) If you prefer to work with me but the “it’s totally free!” part of this makes you uneasy, keep in mind that I’m a freelancer. Any of the stuff you see me doing here (graphic design, illustration, writing too long blog posts, motion graphics, etc.), I could do for you!

Heather Rogers, presidential doodler

I’ve read at least one book about every U.S. president, never tire of shoehorning presidential trivia into conversations, and am basically an expert at hiding mistakes in my sketchbooks.
